Spanish Language and Culture Course

The Spanish Language and Culture Course is aimed at university students and professionals interested in pursuing their study of the Spanish Language while learning about different aspects of Spanish history and culture.

Each subject in Spanish Language and Culture Course involves 40 teaching hours. The number of hours per week is established according to the general study plan of the CLM.

The University of Granada in accordance with your home university and G.S.E will issue the certificate and the validation of the courses taken into academic credits. To do so, it is absolutely necessary that the student attends at least 80 % of the classes.

  • Varieties of Spanish
  • An Introduction to Business Spanish
B. LITERATURE
  • Spanish Literature (up to the 19th century )
  • Spanish Literature (19th-20th century)
C. GEOGRAPHY
  • Geography of Spain
D. HISTORY
  • History of Spain
E. HISTORY OF ART
  • History of Art in Spain
F. CULTURE
  • Spanish Civilization and Culture
  • Islamic Culture in Spain
  • Latin American Civilization and Culture
  • The Political Systems in Spain and the European Union
G. ECONOMICS
  • The Spanish and Latin American Economy

 

A minimum of 4 and a maximum of 5 subjects may be chose.

Section B, C, D, E, F & G can be taught in English if there is a minimum of 15 students interested.

* These subjects are compulsory for all students enrolled on the Spanish Language and Culture Course.
